Moveka doorstep pickup and delivery

Let a courier collect from your location or deliver to the recipient’s location. Here is how doorstep works on Moveka.

Published 23 Oct 2026 · Updated 24 Oct 2026

Moveka doorstep means a courier comes to the location you book. At the starting point, the courier collects your package. At the destination, the courier brings it to the recipient. Choose doorstep at either end, or both, where the route offers it.

Sending from your shop? Receiving at home or work? Doorstep can save you the trip to a Moveka Station. Share a clear meeting point so the courier knows where to find the person handing over or receiving the package.

Book a Moveka doorstep delivery

  1. Open moveka.africa and tap Send a package.
  2. Under Origin, enter where the package starts. Under Destination, enter where the recipient will get it. Start with the area, building or landmark you know.
  3. Choose the matching place and follow the questions to add the meeting point. If you select a Moveka Station instead, you are choosing drop-off or collection at that Station.
  4. Tap Continue and compare the delivery offers shown. Check the pickup time, expected delivery timing and price before choosing.

Help the courier find you

Add details a person can follow: the building or shop name, entrance, floor or a nearby landmark. For example: “Blue gate opposite the supermarket, first floor.” Check the selected place name and meeting directions before continuing. A whole estate or town name alone may not identify the place to meet.

Use the name and phone number of the person who will actually hand over or receive the package. Let them know the delivery plan so they can be available at the booked place.

Need pickup later?

If Schedule later is offered for your route, choose an available day and time and tap Use this pickup time. Check the time again on the review page. The pickup time is when the courier is due to collect; it is separate from the delivery timing shown for the recipient.

Before the courier collects

Pack the item securely, describe it honestly and review the contacts, meeting points, charge and delivery terms. Complete the delivery payment through Moveka and check that it is confirmed. Follow the handover instructions shown for your booking.

If your pickup requires a Moveka code, give it to the courier when you hand over the package. A delivery code is separate from your M-Pesa PIN, wallet PIN or account password. Keep those private.

When the recipient receives it

The recipient should follow the Moveka tracking link and be available for the delivery arrangements. At handover, they complete any delivery-code or payment checks required for that package. The courier records the handover after the checks are complete.

Does doorstep mean Express?

Doorstep describes where the package is handed over. SameDay and Express describe delivery services. Either service may offer doorstep for your route. Moveka Express uses direct transport between the booked starting point and destination; SameDay uses the Moveka delivery network. Compare the offers shown for your actual trip.

Can the recipient pay for the goods on delivery?

For an eligible merchant booking with Pay on Delivery, the recipient pays for the goods digitally before handover. The merchant pays the delivery charge upfront. The package is released only after the required payment is confirmed.

What if doorstep is not offered?

Before booking, edit Origin or Destination and check another suitable point. You can also choose a Moveka Station at that end if one is offered. Review the changed timing and charge before paying.

Choose the right Station or doorstep option

If delivery is already underway, follow the next step shown in tracking. An arrival estimate can change; it is not confirmation that the courier has arrived or the package has been handed over.
